Gaia, Mother Earth

In Greek mythology, Gaia represents the Earth and is responsible for all life that exists. Even greater than a god or goddess, Gaia is mother to all Greek gods and even bore the sky itself. The Greeks used to give thanks to the Earth in forms of animal sacrifices to Gaia, but our tribute today is a little less barbaric. As the Spring flowers begin to bloom around us, let’s take time to reflect on the importance of nature and show our appreciation for Mother Earth by giving color to the beautiful flowers she displays around her head!
