The legendary Dragon has been seen in roots of cultures all around the world, and has a different meaning depending on where you look. For instance, in Western cultures Dragons are typically depicted as beasts that can’t be tamed, and tales were often told of dragons as enemies. In contrast, if you look towards Eastern cultures you will see that the Dragon was depicted as friend of mankind, and even brings good luck to those who are around it. Though archeologists have uncovered many species of serpentine, there is no hard evidence that dragons have ever really existed. Scholars now believe that the Dragon was derived from the Crocodile who may have been mistaken for winged reptiles by men. One thing is for certain: the far stretching stories of Dragons over thousands of years is a testament of the creativity of mankind, as well as our lust for adventure!
