October Optical Illusion

Some certain patterns can trick our brains into seeing things that aren’t really there. When this happens we refer to it as an optical illusion. Sometimes you’ll see depths that aren’t really there, or you can even see colors that don’t exist. Your brain is working with the information it has, and it’s really interesting that we can almost hijack it for the purpose of art.

In today’s drawing you can experiment with a basic optical illusion below. Try to see what patterns are giving it the effect when you look at it far away. You might be able to make it even more apparent with color. Give it a try!
